Below is a sample "map" for a basic site.
A general rule of thumb is to have ten main pages, with subpages on each as needed. The main pages should generally be in this order, but of course you can place them in whichever order you feel best portrays your congregation.

The following information should be on the first page of your website.
Your purpose, mission statement, about us...see this exmple: http://www.allsaintsmobile.org/, church street address, phone number, fax number, office email address, worship times, childcare, parking information, this week's schedule of events or a link to an online calendar.
Have links to: map & directions (use Google, Mapquest, or Yahoo), and an online calendar.
Links to the remaining pages should be down the side or across the top, depending on the homepage template you choose.
Inserting scripture on the homepage whether carefully chosen or simply something from the upcoming Sunday Readings should be a top priority.

Type this out for easy reading, or link to either www.oremus.or or the Revised Common Lectionary.
Parish Life
List the ministries, activities, groups, etc. someone can use to connect to your church. Have a small description of each.
Youth
Even if the youth schedule is integrated into the overall church calendar, it is effective and useful to have the youth gatherings listed separately. A link to a downloadable youth calendar page would be great for the refrigerator!
Music/Choir
A photo of your choir and the choir rehearsal schedule is useful to both church members and prospective members.
Sermons
Load the sermons as a downloadable word or pdf file. Label the link as the date the sermon was given.
Resources
List links to the National Church www.ecusa.anglican.org, Episcopal Life Online (Episcopal Life Online , etc.
Contact Us
Members of the Vestry and Staff should be listed here along with photos, if possible.
